Come join us at Willowbrook Farm and Basketry School for a one day workshop. You will get a hands-on opportunity to plant willows while learning all about how to grow, manage, and maintain willows for basketry.

• Workshop will run 10AM - 4PM

We will discuss:

-How to prep your site for planting

-How to select the willows varieties for your needs

-How to plant your new cuttings

-How to protect your new investment from pests

-How to harvest, sort, and store your cut willow

-How to soak willow for use in basketry

*Bring all your questions and have them answered here while making connections with other potential willow growers and basketmakers.

*Potluck lunch will be included - Bring a dish or drink to share!

*Rain, sun, or snow we will be planting willow. Please dress accordingly. You will be on a working farm that will be very wet and muddy so please have appropriate shoes or boots.
